2. Services Offered

High Shine Window Cleaning provides the following property maintenance services in Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Greenwood, Noblesville, Westfield, Zionsville, and surrounding areas in Indiana:

  • Window Cleaning: Residential and commercial interior and exterior window cleaning
  • Pressure Washing: High-pressure cleaning of driveways, sidewalks, patios, decks, and building exteriors
  • Soft Washing: Low-pressure cleaning for delicate surfaces including siding, roofs, and painted surfaces
  • Gutter Cleaning: Removal of debris and buildup from gutters and downspouts
  • Snow Removal: Seasonal snow clearing services for driveways, walkways, and commercial properties

Service availability may vary based on weather conditions, seasonal demand, and other factors. We reserve the right to refuse service or discontinue any service at any time.

3. Service Scheduling and Estimates

Quotes and Estimates

All quotes and estimates provided are based on the information you provide and may be subject to adjustment upon physical inspection of the property. Final pricing will be determined before service begins.

Scheduling

Service appointments are scheduled subject to availability. We will make reasonable efforts to arrive within the scheduled time window. Delays may occur due to weather conditions, traffic, or unforeseen circumstances at previous job sites.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • By Customer: You may cancel or reschedule appointments with at least 24 hours' notice without penalty. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the quoted service price.
  • By High Shine: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule services due to inclement weather, equipment failure, staff illness, or safety concerns. We will notify you as soon as possible and reschedule at no additional charge.

4. Weather-Related Terms

Service Delays

Weather conditions significantly impact our ability to provide quality service safely. We may postpone services due to:

  • Rain, snow, or freezing conditions
  • High winds (typically above 20 mph for window cleaning and elevated work)
  • Extreme temperatures (below freezing for water-based services)
  • Lightning or severe weather warnings

No Penalty for Weather Delays

No cancellation fees will be charged for weather-related postponements initiated by either party. We will work with you to reschedule at the earliest safe opportunity.

5. Payment Terms

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Cash
  • Check
  • Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)
  • Debit cards
  • Electronic payment platforms (as available)

Payment Timing

  • Residential Services: Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Commercial Services: Payment terms are typically Net 30 days from invoice date for established accounts. New commercial clients may be required to pay upon completion or provide a deposit.
  • Recurring Services: For customers on recurring service schedules, payment may be processed automatically after each service or on a monthly basis as agreed.

Late Payments

Invoices not paid within 30 days of the due date may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month (18% annual percentage rate) or the maximum amount permitted by Indiana law, whichever is less. Continued service may be suspended for accounts with outstanding balances.

Deposits

We may require a deposit for large projects, first-time customers, or services booked during peak seasons. Deposit amounts typically range from 25% to 50% of the total estimated cost.

6. Property Access and Customer Responsibilities

Access to Property

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to all areas requiring service, including:

  • Clear pathways to work areas
  • Access to water sources (for applicable services)
  • Access to electrical outlets (when needed)
  • Parking space for service vehicles
  • Keys or access codes if service is performed when property is unoccupied

Property Preparation

You are responsible for:

  • Removing or securing fragile items near work areas
  • Securing pets indoors or away from work areas
  • Notifying us of any property damage, structural issues, or hazards
  • Moving vehicles from driveways or work areas (for pressure washing and snow removal)
  • Ensuring clear access to gutters, downspouts, and windows

Hazardous Conditions

You must inform us of any hazardous conditions on your property, including but not limited to:

  • Damaged or unstable windows, screens, or structures
  • Electrical hazards
  • Uneven or slippery surfaces
  • Underground utilities or irrigation systems
  • Aggressive animals
  • Asbestos or lead paint

We reserve the right to refuse service or stop work if we encounter conditions we deem unsafe or if adequate access is not provided.

7. Service Limitations and Exclusions

Our services do not include:

  • Repair or replacement of damaged windows, screens, frames, gutters, or property components
  • Cleaning of heavily soiled windows requiring specialized chemical treatments (unless specifically quoted)
  • Interior cleaning beyond windows and window frames
  • Removal of paint, stickers, stains, or other materials requiring special treatment (unless specifically quoted)
  • Services requiring work at heights exceeding our safety equipment capabilities (typically over 40 feet)
  • Landscaping, tree trimming, or yard work
  • Removal of hazardous materials

If additional services are needed, we will provide a separate estimate before proceeding.

8. Quality Guarantee and Warranties

Service Quality

We stand behind the quality of our work. If you are not satisfied with our service, please notify us within 24 hours of service completion, and we will return to address your concerns at no additional charge.

Limitation of Warranty

Our quality guarantee covers only the specific services performed and does not extend to:

  • Pre-existing damage or defects
  • Damage caused by others after service completion
  • Normal wear and accumulation of dirt after service
  • Weather-related re-soiling
  • Conditions beyond our control

Time Limitation

Claims for service quality must be made within 7 days of service completion. Claims made after this period may not be honored.

9. Liability and Insurance

Our Insurance

High Shine Window Cleaning maintains general liability insurance and workers' compensation insurance as required by Indiana law. Certificate of insurance is available upon request for commercial clients.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage to property or surfaces
  • Damage to improperly installed or maintained property components
  • Consequential, indirect, incidental, or special damages
  • Lost profits or business interruption
  • Acts of nature or extreme weather events
  • Damage caused by defects in materials or workmanship of others

Customer's Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining adequate property insurance. We recommend reviewing your homeowner's or commercial property insurance policy to ensure adequate coverage.

Notice of Damage

If you believe our services caused damage to your property, you must notify us within 24 hours of service completion. Failure to provide timely notice may limit our ability to investigate and address your claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless High Shine Window Cleaning, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your failure to disclose hazardous conditions
  • Your failure to properly prepare the property as required
  • Your breach of these Terms
  • Actions of your family members, guests, tenants, or pets
  • Pre-existing damage or defects you failed to disclose

11. Disputes and Arbitration

Informal Resolution

In the event of any dispute, we encourage you to contact us first to seek an informal resolution. Many disputes can be resolved through direct communication.

Binding Arbitration

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services that cannot be resolved informally shall be settled by binding arbitration in Marion County, Indiana, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

Class Action Waiver

You agree that any arbitration or legal proceeding shall be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class action, and you waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12. Safety and Compliance

We comply with all applicable OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations and industry safety standards. Our employees are trained in safe work practices and use appropriate safety equipment.

We may refuse to perform work if:

  • Weather conditions pose a safety risk
  • Equipment or structures are deemed unsafe

  • Required safety equipment is not available
